Pia Valentinis is from Friuli and lives in Cagliari. She creates books both as an illustrator and as a complete author. She writes and draws comics. She won the 21st edition of the «Andersen Prize», the most important Italian award dedicated to children’s books, in the Best Illustrator category and the Rodari Prize 2024. She has exhibited her works in numerous exhibitions, both collective and personal. She holds training courses and workshops for adults and children. She teaches illustration at the Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche in Urbino.
