Meeting in stories

Introduction to published literature for adolescents

Literature for adolescents is a constantly evolving publishing field in which it is not easy to orient oneself. In particular for the 11-14 age group where the different literacy skills of girls/boys emerge and specific interests emerge. The course aims to accompany the students in identifying selection parameters that can be useful for orienting oneself in the publishing panorama. At the same time, it aims to offer some suggestions for the creation of a reading path for classes/groups.

GOALS

  • To offer a methodology for analyzing stories published for the 11-14 age group starting from a rich perspective of different points of view
  • Share questions that can act as a compass for independent analysis
  • Analyze and open a comparison on a specially selected editorial selection useful for building one’s own library
  • To discuss possible forms of organization and management of meetings to promote reading at school and in cultural and educational spaces

METHODOLOGY
The course provides an interactive and playful approach, capable of alternating frontal moments with experiential and micro-group work.
